Man murdered partner who died 13 years after 'serious brain injury' from hammer attack.

53-year-old Trevor Baker pleaded guilty to the murder of his former partner, Carolyn Kemp, who died in September 2022, 13 years after Baker assaulted her with a hammer in Romford, Essex, in 2009, leaving her with a permanent brain injury. Baker initially admitted to attempted murder in 2010 and was given an indeterminate sentence with a minimum term of eight years. He faces a mandatory life sentence with a minimum term to be determined at the Old Bailey on May 16.
