Taxpayers' Union criticizes govt's insufficient staff reduction plan.

The Taxpayers' Union criticizes the govt's staff reduction plan at Ministries of Health & Primary Industries (MPI), saying it doesn't go far enough. Since 2017, MPI's bureaucracy has grown by 52%, forcing taxpayers to pay for an additional 1,227 public servants. The Union suggests the Health Ministry could cut more of its "dumb spending" like the $330k ad campaign & $100k Smokefree2025 logo, if willing to look for savings.
