Bankrupt British socialite James Stunt loses High Court battle over ownership of Van Dyck painting, The Cheeke Sisters.

A bankrupt British socialite, James Stunt, has lost a High Court battle over ownership of a centuries-old painting, The Cheeke Sisters, by Sir Anthony Van Dyck. James and his father, Geoffrey Stunt, claimed that Geoffrey bought the artwork for £600,000 in 2013, but the High Court ruled that James was the contracting buyer. The judge's ruling means that the painting forms part of James' bankruptcy estate.
