Johnson County Library opens new Merriam Plaza branch, replacing Antioch Library; first all-electric building.
The Johnson County Library has opened a new branch in Merriam, replacing the 70-year-old Antioch Library. The Merriam Plaza Library co-locates with the Merriam Community Center and features a drive-thru lane, updated A/V technology, a kid's area, an eco-friendly green roof, and exclusive local artist-designed library cards. The new facility is the county's first all-electric building.
