Tulsa City-County Library Commission resumes plans for $20M Brookside Library after lawsuit withdrawal.
The Tulsa City-County Library Commission resumed plans for a new $20 million Brookside Library after a lawsuit filed by resident Kelsey Royce was withdrawn. The new library will replace the existing Brookside Library and be built near 46th Street and Madison Place. The project had been halted due to Royce's claims that libraries attract crime, but her lawsuit was withdrawn, allowing the project to move forward. The new Brookside Library is expected to break ground later this year.
