NASA astronaut Thomas P. Stafford passed away.

NASA astronaut Thomas P. Stafford, who commanded the Apollo 10 lunar mission and the first U.S.-Soviet space linkup, has died at the age of 93. Stafford, a retired Air Force three-star general, participated in four space missions before becoming an advisor for NASA on topics such as human Mars missions and safety. Alongside his iconic space missions, Stafford was involved in the development of U.S. stealth technologies and was a key figure in bringing Russia into the partnership building and operating the International Space Station.
