A 1,200-foot container ship, YM Witness, crashed into and toppled three cranes at Turkey's Kocaeli Port on 16 March. The ship, operated by Yang Ming, struggled to slow down as it approached the dock at a steep angle, causing significant damage. One crane worker was seriously injured in the accident, and the incident is currently under investigation by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey and the General Directorate of Maritime Affairs.
