1/3 of online supermarket shoppers received food substitutions in their grocery orders within the past year, according to a survey by Which? Asda was found to have the highest proportion of shoppers receiving a substitution, with 56% experiencing replacements. Examples of bizarre substitutions include cans of beer instead of washing powder, mushrooms in place of tampons, and cream crackers instead of Christmas crackers.
