New Hampshire provost James Beeby, with expertise in African American history, has been selected to replace University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Chancellor Joe Gow, who was dismissed last year for producing pornographic content. Beeby, currently serving as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Keene State College, will assume the position at UW-La Crosse on July 1, earning an annual salary of $281,112, approximately $18,000 more than Gow's previous salary.
