A man accused of murdering his girlfriend in Leicester Crown Court, Richard Basson, stormed out as details of his girlfriend's fatal injuries were shared with the jury. Prosecutor John Lloyd-Jones KC informed the court that Basson allegedly used an illegal handgun to shoot his girlfriend, Carrie Slater, causing her a fatal brain injury. He later claimed to have used a pool cue in the altercation.
