14th Pakistan President Zardari appoints daughter Aseefa Bhutto as First Lady following his wife's assassination.
Pakistan's 14th President, Asif Ali Zardari, has appointed his youngest daughter, Aseefa Bhutto, as the First Lady of Pakistan, according to the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). Zardari, who is a widower, has not remarried since the assassination of his wife and former Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto, in 2007. Aseefa, 31, had been actively involved in the PPP's electoral campaign ahead of the February 8 polls and will now be given the protocol and privileges befitting the First Lady after the official declaration.
