ASB Bank has dropped fixed home lending rates for the third time in two weeks. The six-month term decreased by 10 basis points to 7.29%, while the one-year term reduced by 5 basis points to 7.24%. The two-year mortgage rate fell by 6 basis points to 6.79%. ASB's Executive General Manager Personal Banking, Adam Boyd, said that the rate reductions on popular terms would appeal to New Zealand homeowners and prospective homeowners.
