Tesla drivers accused of false advertising in battery range must pursue individual arbitrations, not a class action lawsuit, ruled a federal judge. Tesla buyers agreed to an arbitration provision for resolving disputes with the company when they purchased their vehicles. Plaintiffs accused Tesla of fraudulently inducing consumers to buy electric cars by overstating driving range and misrepresenting the driving range on vehicle dashboards.
