The University of Pittsburgh issued an alert following an off-campus sexual assault on Melwood Avenue. The perpetrator, described as 5'6"-5'7", 150 lbs, wearing all black and a ski mask, threatened the female victim with a weapon, forced her into a back alley, assaulted her, and stole her cellphone. Both Pitt and Pittsburgh Police are investigating, and anyone with information is urged to contact the City of Pittsburgh Police Department or Pitt Police.
