Consulting firm Synergy 360 is suing Nine in the NSW Supreme Court for significant damages over four news reports that claimed secret advice from then-federal Liberal MP Stuart Robert benefited its clients. The reports led to a parliamentary inquiry that referred Robert to the National Anti-Corruption Commission in September 2022. Synergy and CEO David Milo argue the reports are defamatory; Nine denies this allegation and defends its journalists.
