AIIMS study: 40% of pillion riders on two-wheelers in Delhi did not use helmets in 2022, leading to head injuries. 85% of two-wheeler riders used helmets, while 40% of pillion riders did not, resulting in mortality or morbidity. Over 53,541 trauma patients were treated at the hospital in 2022, with 25% of them being road accident victims. Most road accident victims were in the age group of 20-40 years.
