Delhi Development Authority (DDA) razed the house of Wakeel Hassan, a rat-hole miner involved in the Uttarakhand tunnel rescue operation, during a demolition drive in northeast Delhi's Khajoori Khas area. Despite the DDA offering temporary accommodation, Hassan declined the offer, citing a "verbal assurance" for a house in the Govindpuri area. He and his family now face homelessness.
