In January, Australia's annual inflation rate remained steady at 3.4%, below economists' expectations of 3.6% and unchanged from December's figure. The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) aims to have inflation return to its target range of 2-3% by 2025. The annual rise in underlying inflation, excluding volatile items, was 4.1%, lower than December's 4.2% and still above the RBA's 2-3% target band.
