The Supreme Court has issued a notice to Patanjali Ayurved and its managing director for allegedly violating their undertaking about claims and advertisements related to their products. The court warned Patanjali and its officers from making any adverse statements about any system of medicine through media and temporarily banned them from advertising medicines with misleading claims. The court is hearing a plea from the Indian Medical Association alleging a smear campaign by Patanjali's founder, yoga guru Ramdev, against vaccination drives and modern medicine.
