Patanjali Ayurved Ltd informed the Supreme Court that they have stopped selling 14 products whose manufacturing licenses were suspended by Uttarakhand State Licensing Authority in April. The company directed 5,606 franchise stores to withdraw these products and media platforms to stop advertising them. The Supreme Court requested an affidavit within two weeks on whether social media intermediaries acceded to their request for ad removal. The case is related to a plea filed by the Indian Medical Association alleging a smear campaign by Patanjali.
