A 24-year-old man from Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, killed his mother due to her constant scolding over his online gaming addiction, which had accumulated a debt of around Rs 4 lakh. Himanshu allegedly strangled his mother, Prabha, and then disposed of her body near the Yamuna river bank when his father was away. Himanshu was addicted to online gaming on the Zupee platform and had accumulated significant debt due to repeated losses.
