New Zealand Police destroyed six distinctive Harley-Davidson motorcycles belonging to the Comanchero Motorcycle Gang, marking the first time such an order has been sought under legislation. The bikes, seized in 2019 during Operation Nova, were crushed as they were deemed too distinctive to be sold, to prevent them from ending up back in the hands of the gang. The proceeds from the scrap metal sales will go into the consolidated crime fund.
