New Zealand police destroyed six distinctive Harley-Davidson motorcycles belonging to the Comanchero Motorcycle Gang, marking the first time such an order has been sought under the legislation. The bikes seized in 2019 during Operation Nova, were crushed as they were deemed highly likely to be returned to the gang, defeating the purpose of the operation. The court order allowed for the destruction of the motorcycles and plates, and any proceeds from the scrap metal sales will go toward the consolidated crime fund.
