Remains of a Portland teenager missing since 1968 or 1969 have been identified after 54 years, thanks to advancements in DNA forensic technology. The remains were found by a Boy Scout troop on Sauvie Island in 1970 and identified as Sandra Young, a Grant High School student. The Oregon State Police and investigative genetic genealogy have helped provide closure for family members and the community.
