A woman, referred to as "Jane" to protect her identity, was nearly stabbed to death in Tacoma's Point Defiance Park on February 10th. The unknown attacker pinned her down, threatened to kill her, and left her with multiple skull fractures, lacerations, and a collapsed lung. Jane was saved by other park-goers, and the Tacoma Police Department is urging the public for help in identifying the suspect, while the park has decided to close early and increase security measures.
