Stowers Institute Scientific Director Kausik Si receives a CZI award to investigate tuning memory by altering amyloids with UT Southwestern's Lukasz Joachimiak.
Stowers Institute Scientific Director Kausik Si receives a coveted award from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) to explore "Tuning memory by altering amyloids" project. Si, along with Investigator Lukasz Joachimiak from the University of Texas Southwestern, will investigate if functional amyloids known to aid in memory formation can be fine-tuned to enhance long-term memory duration. The CZI Neurodegeneration Challenge Network (NDCN) supports innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to tackle critical challenges in neurodegenerative diseases and fundamental neuroscience.
