Oregon Senate Committee unanimously passes a bill to abolish yearly standard time shift to Daylight Saving Time.
The Oregon Senate Committee has unanimously passed a bill (SB 1548) to abolish the annual one-hour change from standard time to Daylight Saving Time in the state.
If passed, Oregonians living in the Pacific Time Zone would remain on standard time all year, joining Hawaii and Arizona, the only other two states that don't practice Daylight Saving Time.
The bill will now proceed for a floor debate and voting in the Oregon House and Senate.
