The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has announced a ban on the use of ChatGPT for civil servants. The updated Acceptable Use Policy guidance prohibits the use of the artificial intelligence tool in any government-issued devices or while conducting DWP business. The policy applies to all DWP employees, agents, contractors, and business partners using any DWP equipment or information systems. However, the guidance allows for the use of approved private AI applications within DWP systems.
