UK scientists develop non-toxic, eco-friendly solution using NADES to capture & remove microplastic particles from water.

Researchers at the University of Kentucky are developing a solution to combat plastic pollution using Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (NADES) derived from natural sources like plants and coconuts. NADES can form bonds with microplastics in water, effectively extracting them and offering a targeted approach to reducing plastic pollution. The research is still in its developmental stages but has the potential to significantly benefit the fight against plastic pollution.
