NASA's Expedition 71 astronauts will study organoids, plant growth, and body fluid shifts at ISS, including neurological organoid models for neurodegenerative disease and drug discovery.

NASA's Expedition 71 astronauts will study neurological "organoids", plant growth, and shifts in body fluids during their time aboard the International Space Station (ISS). The astronauts, including Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt, Jeanette Epps, and Tracy C. Dyson, are set to reach the space station in February and March. Their research, such as the "Human Brain Organoid Models for Neurodegenerative Disease & Drug Discovery" (HBOND), could provide insights into neurodegenerative disorders and aid in drug discovery.
