Mount Royal University biologist, Dr. Nick Strzalkowaski, partners with NASA and German Space Agency to study sensory adaptations during space flight. Using a head-down bed rest method, he and his team aim to enhance astronauts' adaptation to physiological changes and understand the effects of long-term bed rest on Earth. The Canadian Space Agency-funded research, involving 12 participants, will take several years to complete.
