Trump co-defendant intensifies scrutiny over timeline of Fani Willis, prosecutor relationship.

One of the defendants in the Georgia election subversion case involving former President Donald Trump has claimed that the lead prosecutors in the case, Fani Willis and Nathan Wade, have lied about the timing of their romantic relationship. Michael Roman's attorney, Ashleigh Merchant, has demanded a hearing to determine whether Willis and Wade should be disqualified from the case; Merchant will seek to subpoena Terrence Bradley, a former colleague of Wade, to testify that the relationship began before Wade was hired by Willis in 2021, contradicting Wade's recent affidavit stating their relationship began in 2022 after his appointment by Willis.
