Japanese conductor Seiji Ozaw passed away.

Japanese conductor Seiji Ozawa, who is widely recognized for his massive influence on Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) throughout his 30-year tenure and later as the music director of the Vienna State Opera, has passed away at the age of 88. Ozawa died from heart failure at his home in Tokyo on February 9. In addition to his achievements in these orchestras, Ozawa was also the creative director and founder of the Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival.
