Charles Ryan, ex-Arizona Corrections Director has received a two years' probation for a gun charge.

Former Arizona Department of Corrections Director Charles Ryan has been sentenced to two years of probation for a gun charge related to a 2022 barricade incident at his Tempe home. Ryan's lawyer had requested a separate hearing to present evidence favorable to his client, but the sentencing proceeded based on his no-contest plea to a disorderly conduct charge. During the incident, police say Ryan fired a gun inside his home and pointed a firearm at two officers during a three-hour standoff on January 6, 2022.
