Scottish Health Secretary, Michael Matheson, resigns over £11k iPad roaming bill incurred during a family trip, admitting initial claim of no personal use was false.

Scottish Health Secretary, Michael Matheson, has resigned after a controversy over an iPad data roaming bill of almost £11,000. The bill was incurred during a family holiday in Morocco. Matheson initially claimed his teenage sons used the device for watching football, but later admitted that he had lied about there being no personal use of the device. Despite initially insisting he would reimburse the taxpayers, he later decided to quit to avoid becoming a distraction to the Scottish Government. Matheson's resignation comes as the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body is set to investigate the matter.
