Hawthorn Football Club has appointed Daniel Webster as their new AFL Women's (AFLW) coach. Webster, with over a decade of coaching experience in the NEAFL and State League, was previously responsible for overseeing Brisbane's AFLW midfield group, which won the 2023 flag. He will be replacing Bec Goddard, who left her position in November. Hawthorn's football operations manager, Max Bailey, praised Webster's exceptional tactical knowledge, strong relationships with players, and communication skills. Webster expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and his commitment to driving elite standards and getting the best out of the AFLW playing group.
