Billionaire Wee Cho Yaw, former chairman of Singapore's United Overseas Bank (UOB) and key figure in the bank's growth, has passed away at 95.

Singapore's influential billionaire banker, Wee Cho Yaw, has passed away at 95. Serving as former chairman of United Overseas Bank (UOB), Wee played a key role in the bank's growth from a single branch to a regional bank with branches in 19 countries. Aside from his role in banking, Wee was also chairman of real estate developer UOL Group and contributed greatly to local community, education, and philanthropy initiatives.
