Nepal's CIB arrested Arun Chaudhary, chairman of CG Holdings and brother of billionaire Binod Chaudhary, on charges of unlawfully seizing government land.

On Thursday, the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal arrested Arun Chaudhary, chairman of CG Holdings and brother of Nepal's sole billionaire, Binod Chaudhary, on charges of unlawfully seizing government land. Arun Chaudhary was arrested from his residence in Lazimpat, Kathmandu, and later presented to the Kathmandu District Court. Alongside his arrest, the CIB also arrested Ajit Narayan Thapa, former Board Chairman of Bansbari Leather Footwear Industry, a government-owned defunct company whose land was allegedly converted to private property by Arun Chaudhary and his associates.
