BC Green Party leader switches ridings for October's provincial election.

B.C. Green Party leader Sonia Furstenau will switch ridings in the October provincial election, running in NDP-held Victoria-Beacon Hill rather than representing the Cowichan Valley, which she has done since 2017. Furstenau's decision follows changes in the riding's boundaries and is motivated by her desire to be closer to her family, whose ties are to the Victoria region. Victoria-Beacon Hill is currently represented by B.C. 's Minister of Children and Family Development.
