BC United MLA Teresa Wat is set to leave the party and join the Conservative Party of British Columbia. This marks the fourth defection of a BC United MLA to the Conservatives. Wat was previously elected under the BC Liberal banner three times before the party changed its name to BC United. BC United's director of communications, Adam Wilson, expressed appreciation for Wat's service to the party and wished her well.
