Civil rights activist and youngest son of MLK Jr., Dexter Scott King, passes away at age 62 from prostate cancer.

Dexter Scott King, the youngest son of civil rights icons Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, passed away at the age of 62 following a battle with prostate cancer. Dexter served as Chairman of the King Center and President of the King Estate and dedicated much of his life to preserving and protecting his father's civil rights legacy and intellectual property. The family plans to hold a media conference and announce a memorial service date at a later time.
