The five richest men in the world have doubled their wealth to a combined £680 billion.

The wealth of the world's five richest men has more than doubled, rising from around £266 billion in 2020 to £680 billion in 2024. Oxfam's report notes that billionaires have seen their wealth grow at a rate three times faster than inflation since 2020. As a result, the wealth of the poorest 4.77 billion people has fallen by 0.2% in real terms since 2020.
