A man has been named as a suspect in the serial murders known as the Colonial Parkway Murders.

Police named deceased hunter and fisherman, Alan W. Wilmer Sr., as a suspect in three unsolved murders from the 1980s in Virginia. DNA evidence connected Wilmer to the 1987 murders of David Knobling and Robin Edwards in Isle of Wight County, and the 1989 murder of Teresa Lynn Spaw Howell in Hampton. The three cases were among a series of unsolved crimes known as the Colonial Parkway Murders.
