The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Section 1 firearm with intent to endanger life and robbery, and has been taken to a police station in Mersey. The first report was made at 8pm at a newsagents in Norris Green, where a man entered and threatened a shop assistant and demanded cash before firing a gun.
