Black Panther actress Carrie Bernans was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident in New York City on New Year's Day. The 29-year-old actress and stuntwoman, who has appeared in The Color Purple and Black Panther, suffered multiple broken bones and is currently in stable condition in the hospital. Bernans was walking with a friend when they stopped at a food truck. A car then crashed into it, pinning Bernans underneath. The driver of the car fled the scene.
