A 2.3 magnitude earthquake struck near Valmeyer, Illinois, just south of St. Louis, Missouri, around 6 pm on February 1, 2025. Though minor, the quake was felt by many in the St. Louis area and occurred in the same location as a previous tremor a few months ago.
