Audi simplifies its car naming system to end confusion, set to debut new A6 Avant TFSI on March 4th.

Audi is simplifying its vehicle naming system to clear up confusion. The new system will use initial letters like A or Q, followed by numbers 1 to 8 for size, and will no longer specify powertrain type through odd or even numbers. Body style and powertrain codes will be included, like TFSI for gas, TFSI e for hybrid, and E-tron for EVs. The changes reflect customer and dealer feedback and aim to make model identification clearer. The A6 Avant TFSI will be the first to use the new naming convention, set to debut on March 4th.
