Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson confirms no reunion plans, preferring to honor band’s legacy without late drummer Neil Peart.

Alex Lifeson, Rush's guitarist, confirms there are no plans to bring back the band. Despite regular jam sessions with bandmate Geddy Lee, Lifeson believes a reunion without late drummer Neil Peart wouldn't recreate the original magic. Rush's final tour ended in 2015, and Lifeson prefers being remembered for their legacy rather than as a tribute band. Lifeson is focusing on his new band, Envy of None, with a new album out in March, while Lee is working on a baseball book.
