Former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who died on December 26 at 92, was honored with a continuous religious scripture recitation at his home. The event was attended by Congress leaders including Mallikarjun Kharge and Sonia Gandhi. Singh, remembered for his role in India's economic reforms during his tenure from 2004 to 2014, was cremated with full state honors, and his ashes were immersed in the Yamuna River.
