India's current account deficit slightly decreased to $11.2 billion in Q3, despite a larger trade deficit.

India's current account deficit (CAD) for the July-September quarter of 2024-25 decreased slightly to $11.2 billion (1.2% of GDP), down from $11.3 billion (1.3% of GDP) in the same quarter last year. Despite a larger trade deficit, the improvement was due to higher services income and remittances. The CAD may increase in the next quarter due to a record-high trade deficit in November.
